- Construction: Gerald Perschler, 2026
- Lightweight flying wing with an electric fuselage
- Very lightweight, sturdy wooden construction
- Easy and agile to fly
- Construction plan supplement FMT 06/2026
In 2017, FMT plan designer Gerald Perschler designed the Arrow flying wing and has been delighted by its outstanding flight performance ever since. As the one-piece wing, with a wingspan of 1.6 m, was often too unwieldy for everyday use, he has now developed the miniArrow – a slightly smaller version with a split wing – as a plan supplement for FMT. The challenge was to construct a swept flying wing using a ribbed structure with a profile thickness of approx. 8.5% that was sufficiently torsion-resistant given the shallow wing depth. This was achieved using a closed D-box. With the recommended motorisation, the miniArrow can climb vertically indefinitely and can also handle full throttle. The construction plan and building instructions are included in issue 06/2026 of FMT magazine. The construction plan is supplemented by a laser parts kit. This shortens the construction time and increases the enjoyment of building.
