So, it's an exciting day in terms of flying - on the flat, on a slope or in the mountains. And that is what this book is about: About exciting experiences with the glider model.

Two names for upwind that can be used for model flying and other air sports are certainly familiar to the reader: thermals and dynamic upwind. They are treated in detail. The anabatic wind, the most important upwind in the mountains, is also explained extensively. But don't worry, it doesn't get scientific or complicated. The processes are simply described and easy to understand.

Many tips and food for thought for effective flying in the upwind round off the book. Numerous suggestions on the choice of RC glider for successful flight in thermals, on slopes and in alpine terrain complement the descriptions of the three types of updrafts.
