Technology of submarine models (PoD)

Diving submarine models exert a special attraction on the viewer:

They suddenly disappear underwater and reappear in a completely different place. The author uses many photos and drawings to show how this is achieved, what extensive technology has to be built into the slender hulls, and how to use electronic safety circuits sensibly. Some circuit board layouts are also printed.

 In addition to hull construction, watertight shaft penetrations, strength calculations and diving tank technology, automatic attitude control under water, emergency surfacing systems and numerous special functions such as periscope, camera, torpedoes, manipulator and others are discussed.
