This book deals exclusively with the many items of equipment that can be found on all ships and which must not be neglected under any circumstances, even in the model. Here it is described in an understandable way and clearly illustrated in more than 200 pictures, how large items such as winches, masts, towing gear or boats and davits, but also small bollards, shackles, eye splices or hand wheels are made with normal workshop equipment.
