The advent of modern fiber composites has made it possible to further develop the good old finned wing design: it is now possible to produce stiff and strong finned wings whose low weight cannot be achieved with any other design.

The book concludes with a detailed presentation of selected wing designs, for example a super-light electric glider wing with a span of 2.2 m, weighing only 85 g when ready to fly and yet suitable for aerobatics.
