Although functional jet engines were developed as early as the late 1930s and became widespread in the 1950s, they were considered too complicated and costly for model aircraft. Thanks to many tinkerers, this has changed in the meantime, so that today it is possible to use this interesting propulsion system in model aircraft.

The author has worked intensively on model jet engines and in this book not only explains the history of development and the operating principle of this technology, but also describes all the components down to the last detail. With the help of detailed and richly illustrated building instructions, the advanced modeler can even set about constructing a jet engine himself. And to make sure that the useful application is not neglected, a separate chapter is devoted to successful use in model aircraft.
