Model aircraft are not only functional technical devices, but can also fascinate with their special shape. Such is the Windspiel by Helmut Antusch from 1939, the plan of which was published by Otto Maier Verlag. Heinrich Eder flew the Windspiel on the Wasserkuppe in the 90s and presented it in FMT 11/96. The model is built using a classic rib construction method.

What was striking was that it primarily attracted the attention of women at the time. Now the model found its place in the local gliding museum, model flight department.
The new version of the Windspiel XL presented here is an enlargement of the original from 1939 to a wingspan of 1,610 mm. It also features other updates, such as a high-performance airfoil (Gö 602 modified) and removable wings.

The enclosed construction plan was published in FMT 01/2024.

The laser parts set contains all the formative components such as frames, ribs and tail unit parts, which are cleanly CNC-cut from balsa and plywood.
