Laser-cut parts set Saly²
- Construction: Wolfgang Werling, 2025
- Compact HLG glider
- Can be built as a glider or with electric drive
- Wooden construction
The model name Saly is derived from the SAL model
class, which stands for Side-Arm Launched. And the superscript two in the model
name indicates that we can have twice the fun with this model, because the
Saly² comes with two hulls – a pure glider version and an additional electric
hull. Compared to the original Saly from 2011, the wingspan has been increased
from 1,300 to 1,500 mm and the wing is now plug-in. The wing has also been
redesigned, with both the profile and the rudders being revised. Launching the
Saly² is fun, but what do you do if you've launched it several times and
realise that it's not flying? You could go home or change the model. With the
Saly², we simply swap the fuselage at the airfield and we have a very light
electric glider with a really stable wing. And the search for thermals
continues...
