Canopy Bel Air
- Construction: Jürgen Bestenlehner, 2024
- Depron model
- Aerobatic trainer
- Construction plan insert FMT 04/2024
The
thermoformed canopy is also available separately for do-it-yourself builders
under this item number.
The
Depron model Bel Air is easy to build thanks to its simple KF profile
(according to Kline Fogleman) and its square fuselage. With a few simple steps
and a few tools, a very attractive model can be created with manageable effort.
Our Bel Air impresses with its nostalgic look and shiny chrome parts (created
with Liquid Chrome from Molotow) and is thus reminiscent of 1950s road
cruisers. Of course, other versions are also conceivable.
The
Bel Air was developed as an advanced youth project, is fully aerobatic and
versatile. From level or freshly mown grass runways, the recommended powerplant
is often sufficient for take-off at more than half throttle. Even dynamic
aerobatics can be flown with this throttle setting. At full power, our Bel Air
becomes an air racer and vertical climbs from the horizontal are possible. In
terms of strength, almost anything is possible, even torn figures.
The insert plan was published in FMT 04/2024.
