The initial point of Jochen Zimmermann's design was the wish of a newly acquired, young member of the Nördlingen club. The club's standard model in this class was getting on in years and urgently needed to be replaced by a more modern aircraft - both technically and visually. The requirements profile specified that the model should be compact so that it is easy to transport. It was also important to have a simple construction method that would also lead to success for modelling beginners. In addition, the use of inexpensive components, good-natured flight characteristics with appealing performance and a pleasing appearance. In line with this, the Kumula was given a slim, round fuselage that does not demand too much from the modeller in terms of craftsmanship. Even inexperienced modellers can quickly and safely achieve a stylish fuselage with the chosen construction method in conjunction with the simple slipway. The other criteria are aimed at a model that is perfectly suited to adult model pilots who want a simple model that is always at hand, but also to young people and beginners. The Kumula fulfils these requirements very well.

The milling and laser parts set includes CNC-manufactured ribs and frames made of balsa and plywood in selected quality. You will also need all the necessary slats, the planking material, the rc components, the linkage accessories as well as adhesives and covering material.
