Milled parts set Saltomon
- Construction: Tim Weißbach
- classic HLG (mini-RES)
- mostly made of wood
- easy construction
The Saltomon is a model that successfully combines a very simple structure and flying fun. Small bumps are enough for light-footed gymnastics near slopes - that's model flying at eye level. No wonder: With a wing loading of just 12 g/dm², every hint of an updraft is displayed immediately. With gentle rudder deflections, the model is easy to master, even for inexperienced model pilots. Due to the V-shape, the small glider flies very inherently stable. If you give the wing a slight twist with the hair dryer, the model becomes pious.
The Saltomon is also well suited for training purposes, both in terms of construction and flight. Due to large rudders and the possible rudder paths, the Saltomon remains interesting for a long time, even with a rapid development of the pilot.
The supplement construction plan was published in FMT 11/2022.
The
set of milled parts includes all components such as ribs and frames made of
balsa and plywood in selected quality and control horns made of GRP. Strips,
CFRP profiles, linkage accessories, the wing screw connection and RC
components, adhesives and foil or paint are also required.
