Laser parts set Windwurf 3.2

The Windwurf 3.2 is a flying wing floater with a variable wingspan thanks to clip-on ears.

In no time at all, the model turns from being a thermal sniffer to being a lively sailplane – depending on the requirements.

The enclosed building plan was published in FMT 04 + 05/2023.

The laser parts set contains all the formative components such as frames, ribs and tail unit parts, which are cleanly CNC-cut from balsa and poplar plywood.

Like its little brother, the Windwurf 3.2 is not a lame thermal glider, but an agile thermal glider with very good performance. The model also copes well with stronger winds. The best way to set the center of gravity is with the big ears, which also increase the sailing performance compared to the small ears. With the small ears, the center of gravity then moves slightly forward, and because of this and the smaller wingspan, the Windwurf 3.2 is a little faster and very manoeuvrable. The model easily withstands loopings and light piercing, no matter the span. You should definitely steer the rudder, not only because you can fly nice turns, but because it allows you to fly clean and tight turns with almost no loss of altitude.

The structure is made of wood and is very easy to do with the help of our parts or kits.
