Construction plan: Flemish carrack

His enthusiasm for medieval ship types has long made ModellWerft author Klaus Lingenauber rave about a small ship on an old copperplate engraving. This engraving often appears in history books or articles on maritime history, as this appealing illustration is a good example of a seagoing vessel from around 1500. But what might the small sailing ship have looked like in reality? Klaus Lingenauber provides a possible answer to this question with his reconstruction attempt, drawn on a scale of 1:250.
