DXF files DHC-6 300 Twin Otter
- Construction: Christian Forrer
- compact size
- Wooden construction
- easy to fly
- DXF & STL files available
Christian Forrer has revised the construction plan for
his Twin Otter (3201430), taking into account the new possibilities offered by
3D printing and parts production using a milling machine or laser. The design
of the nacelles in particular has been revised, and there are now three
versions available for different engine mounting options. The construction plan
shows the design with many colourful 3D illustrations, and all individual parts
are drawn and optionally available as DXF file. The detailed plan and
manufacturing file for the individual parts make assembly much easier.
Despite its comparatively small wingspan of 1,345 mm, the Twin Otter flies like a much larger model. The realistic landings with set landing flaps are particularly impressive.
