- Depron model with impeller drive
- Easy to build and fly
The small Venom D.H. 112, designed by René Bützberger for FMT in 2011, is a popular Depron model. It is easy to build and flies flawlessly. Paul Stürchler is also a fan of the Venom – but he didn't like the noise of the tail drive with pressure propeller at all. So he decided to design and build a similar model himself – with an impeller drive instead of the tail motor with pressure propeller. The main challenges were the air supply, the dimensions of the impeller and the weight of the model. The designer chose a KFM4 (Kline-Fogleman) airfoil, which is easy to build and promises very good flight characteristics.
