Construction plan USS Independence LCS-2

In October 2010 a new era should begin for the US Navy. For the first time in decades, two battleships, the USS Freedom (LCS-1) and the USS Independence (LCS-2), were put into service that were not designed to escort aircraft carrier battle groups, but for independent operations in the shallow coastal waters of - sometimes hostile - coasts.

The construction plan of the USS Independence (LCS-2) shows the clear construction of the model on four DIN A0 pages with oversize. The ship portrait of the original was published in ModellWerft 08/22 at the same time as the construction plan.
