Construction plan horsehead pump

Horsehead pumps - so named because of their characteristic appearance - are mainly used to pump crude oil, but also healing waters or brine from greater depths. Other classic names for this type of pump are Nickesel, Nicker or Pumpjack.

The model presented here is made of brass and aluminum. A small electric motor with a gearbox is used as the drive. Some of these motors are offered cheaply on the Internet. However, solutions using external drive machines, e.g. steam engines with gear reduction, are also conceivable.Construction: Andre Neumann
