The Nicker - based on an idea by the legendary American model machine designer Elmer Verburg - has a fascinating motion cycle. By combining the principle of the oscillating steam engine with the principle of conventional slide control, a slow and smooth machine rotation can be realised.
Cylinder and slide control are made of brass. The machine bed and bearing pedestals are made of aluminium. The bearing blocks are made of brass. The flywheel can be made of aluminium.
