The uncomplicated thermal glider - not only for beginners
Often people asked which model would be suitable for beginners in model flying and for youth work. Many a newcomer wanted to build a wooden model; uncomplicated and easy to fly. And many wanted an electric drive for the well-tried EON-HLG. Now we have the answer: The miniEON flies as good-natured and agile as the HLG, climbs more than nimbly with an inexpensive drive and makes a wonderful glider. With small rudder deflections, it's a great model for learning to fly - inherently stable and slow on the move; with large rudder deflections, however, it's also good for roll circles and back trundles. If you have never experienced a thermal flight, you should try the miniEON. It is stable enough to come down in one piece from any altitude.
The construction plan is part of FMT 12/2021.
