Bauplan Belly dump trailer

American truck and trailer constructions differ in many ways from those known in Europe - that's what makes these vehicles so appealing.

For the transport of large quantities of bulk goods, such as sand, rocks, but sometimes also grain, in the USA; Canada and other countries commonly use such belly dump trailers (sometimes referred to as bottom dump trailers). Their big advantage compared to most other tippers is the relatively simple construction, which gets by with a comparatively simple and low-power hydraulic system, since the load falls out of the trailer here by gravity.

Of course, their unusual appearance is particularly exciting for model replicas.
